Self-directed learning is much more than students doing what they want, when they want. It is a shift in learning where the learner takes on responsibility for his or her learning. We see it in eLearning, we see it with our 21st century learners. If we are going to meet the needs of learners today, we need to be on the cutting edge with the learning approach we use. We must ensure we are building support in our learning environments using proven techniques based on sound theoretical connections. The PL&T Approach does just that.
